Here’s the weekly Michigan Department of Transportation update regarding the reconstruction of U.S. 131 in Three Rivers.
Project officials said two-way traffic will continue to use the newly constructed northbound lane of the highway.
Meanwhile, some utility relocation work remains ongoing throughout the project. In addition, paving of the multi-use path is continuing and being performed as time permits.
MDOT further notes that access will be maintained to businesses at all times. Also, traffic-signal work at various locations throughout the length of the project will continue.
The new southbound U.S. 131 roadbuilding continues with earthwork and paving. Concrete driveways, and curb and gutter construction continues, as well.
MDOT urges motorists to be aware of a change in traffic pattern, tentatively set to be in place Sept. 24.
