Five people were reappointed Tuesday to the St. Joseph County Solid Waste Management Planning Committee. They are: Three Rivers-area residents Eric Shafer and Aaron Cullifer, Lee Zimmerman of Three Rivers, Mendon Township’s Robert Robinson and commissioner Kathy Pangle, a Mendon resident.
Their terms are for a two-year period.
Meanwhile, the St. Joseph County Board of Commissioners reappointed six people to the Commission On Aging Advisory Board. They are: John Galvin of Sturgis, Sturgis-area residents Ed Stemen, Stephen Boland and George Letts, Three Rivers-area resident Sarah Apwisch and Florence Township’s Jon Withers.
With the exception of Galvin, all terms are two years in length. Galvin’s term is for 12 months.
Also Tuesday, county administrator Teresa Doehring said she needs more time to work out details with various unions before a 35-hour work week is implemented.
