Police search for hit-and-run driver

State police are looking for the driver of a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run incident last week in Branch County’s Sherwood Township.

Troopers said the incident occurred between 7 and 8 p.m. Friday near the intersection of Oliverda Road and M-60.

Investigators said a female pedestrian was struck by the driver of an older, two-door, white Ford pickup. It features a long box, authorities said.

The suspect vehicle is believed to have damage to the passenger-side mirror from the impact. Further information about the victim was not indicated in a department media release.
