Consumers Energy has announced its participation in “Our Town,” an initiative to support Michigan’s small businesses.
The agency has partnered with 55 chambers and downtown groups, including Three Rivers, to support the gift-card program.
It provides holiday shoppers with a dollar-for-dollar match for gift cards they buy through local chambers of commerce and downtown organizations, doubling the amount they can spend in downtowns across the state.
For example, for a cost of $50, a recipient is given a gift card with a value of $100. Consumers Energy, in this example, has provided the additional $50 to help support the local business.
Participating businesses are: Bullseye Marketplace, Culver’s of Three Rivers, Hank’s Tavern on the River, LA’s Coffee Café, Lowry’s Books and More, Parker Jewelers, Portfolio Ink, Reflections Hair Studio, Ridgeway Floral, Satori Salon, St. Joe Valley Golf Club and Superior Receipt Book Co.
Cards can be purchased at the Three Rivers Area Chamber of Commerce.
