Royce L. Miller, age 89, of South Bend, died Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Heritage Point. He was born in Constantine on July 20, 1931, the son of (the late) Clyde and Nellie (Johnson) Miller. Royce graduated from Constantine High School with the Class of ’48 and married Margaret (Timm) Miller on August 8, 1953; she preceded him in death on February 8, 2000 after 46 years of marriage. He later married Marilyn (Johnson) Miller on October 26, 2002; she survives after 18 years of marriage. Royce was a retired tool & die designer who owned Acme Tool & Die Company in South Bend. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and was an avid fan of Notre Dame football as well as Detroit Tigers baseball. He was a member of the South Bend YMCA for over 30 years, for his regular workouts and exercise. Royce always enjoyed the time spent with his family & friends, and particularly cherished the time spent at their winter home in Naples FL. In addition to his parents and his first wife Margaret, Royce was also preceded in death by his brother, Galen Miller and his stepson, Mark Johnson. He is survived by his wife Marilyn Miller; sons, Randy Miller of Elkhart, Scott (Chris) Miller of Tyner and Wade Miller of Syracuse; daughters, Lori Walsh of Mishawaka and Lisa (Matt) Litwiller of Bloomfield MT; stepson, Mike (Lori) Johnson of Fort Gratiot MI; stepdaughter, Debbie Johnson of Willis MI; his brother, Sharon (Shirley) Miller of West Point VA; seven grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, four greatgrandchildren and nine step-great-grandchildren. Royce will be laid to rest with a Committal Service in the Chapel at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, 375 W. Cleveland Rd, at 11:00 Friday December 18, 2020.
