Marjorie May Adams, age 88, of Colon, passed away Sunday, Dec. 13, 2020, at Heartland Health Care Center in Three Rivers.
Marjorie was born June 25, 1932, in Colon, a daughter of the late Raymond and Evalyn (Dexter) McKercher.
Marjorie was a graduate of Colon High School in 1950. She lived her entire life in Colon. Marjorie worked for many years as a secretary for Lamb Knit Company in Colon. She also was a member of Mendon Rovers for several years.
On Oct. 20, 1951, Marjorie married David Adams at the Bruce and Carol McKercher residence in Colon.
Marjorie is survived by her children Rick D. (Roxanne) Adams of Lake Orion, Sherry A. (Joseph) Switzenberg of Mendon and Terry (Rachel) Adams of Colon; grandchildren John Adams, Leigh Cairo, Amy Elliot, Cole Persons, Dustin Switzenberg, and Kaity, Lexus, and Logan Gentz; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Rose Jackson; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, David Adams, in 2001; and siblings Blanch Wood, Betty Warlick, Peg Brown, Bruce McKercher and Richard McKercher.
Following Marjorie’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 15, 2021, at Schipper Funeral Home in Colon.
