Joyce Ledyard, age 85, of Sturgis, passed away early Sunday morning January 3, 2021 at Sturgis Hospital.
She was born July 7, 1935 in Kentucky daughter of the late David and Tenney (Vance) Brady.
Mrs. Ledyard resided in Sturgis for the past 59 years coming Kentucky.
She retired from Sturgis Molded Products following many years of dedicated employment.
Joyce enjoyed flower gardening, reading, crocheting, shopping and watching Western movies and shows, especially Bonanza.
She is survived by two daughters: Debra (Ronald) Groff of Howe, Indiana and Beverly (Mark) Chaddock of Centreville; two step-sons; five grandchildren: Bradley Groff, Jason Comstock, Aimee Comstock, Courtney Dorman and Zoey Dorman; three great grandchildren; one sister: Hazel; two brothers: Bobby and Charles and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and several brothers and sisters.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM Saturday at the Hackman Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 114 S. Nottawa Street, Sturgis, MI 49091, 269-651-2331 where funeral services celebrating the life of Joyce Ledyard will begin at 12:00 PM Saturday. The Rev. Rodger Moyer will officiate. A graveside committal will follow the service at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Sturgis.
The family suggests those wishing to make a memorial donation in Mrs. Ledyard’s memory consider St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
