George Ann Smith, age 84, of Mottville Township, White Pigeon, died Jan. 7, 2021, surround by her family.
She was born May 4, 1936, in Constantine, a daughter of George P. and Gertrude L. (Carper) Wolgamood.
She lived in Mottville since 2005, coming from Fish Lake, where she lived for 35 years. Graduate of Constantine High School in 1954, employed by William Products in Elkhart for 10 years and Wagner’s Grocery Store in White Pigeon since 1996. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and avid Notre Dame fan. Most of all, she enjoyed time with her family.
On Jan. 23, 1955, she married the love of her life, David L. Smith, in Constantine. He preceded her in death Feb. 27, 2005, and they are now reunited.
She is survived by two daughters, Pamela Smith and Lynn Patterson; give grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and a sister, Mary Jane Pendleton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a grandson, Logan West; and a great-grandson, Jeremy Stabler Jr.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Farrand Funeral Home in White Pigeon. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, 2021, at the funeral home, with Pastor Barry Edds officiating. COVID-19 restrictions require masks to be worn at all times, with a limit of 25 people in the funeral home at a time. Cremation will follow. Interment of cremains will take place at a later date in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
