Tracy Scott Adams, age 61, of Middlebury, and a former resident of Sturgis, passed away early Monday morning March 22, 2021 at the Golden Living Center in Elkhart.
He was born March 1, 1960 in Sturgis, son of the late Ralph Duane and Shirley Mae (Notestine) Adams.
Tracy resided in Middlebury for the past 20 years coming from Sturgis, where he was a graduate of Sturgis High School with the class of 1978.
He had been employed by Syndicate Fixtures for 28 years. He had also worked at Grumman Olson in Sturgis for several years.
Tracy was a past member of Loyal Order of Moose #574 in Sturgis and he enjoyed bowling, was a fan of football and NASCAR and loved time spent with his grandchildren.
He is survived by one daughter: Jasmine Rodzankas of Fort Worth, Texas; one son: Joshua Adams of Middlebury; former wife: Rhonda Hummel of Delphi, Indiana; seven grandchildren: Andrew, Dalton, Jacob, Champayne, Jamal, Ethan and Ariel; one brother: Douglas Adams of Sturgis and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers: Duane, Charles and Bruce Adams.
In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place. No services are planned at this time. Private burial of the ashes will take place at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Sturgis at a later date.
The Hackman Family Funeral Homes of Sturgis is entrusted with the arrangements.
