Lloyd Schrock, 79

Lloyd Richard Schrock, age 79, of Arcadia, Florida and a former longtime Burr Oak resident, died Thursday, March 25,2021 at Fawcett Memorial Hospital in Port Charlotte, Florida.
He was born August 25, 1941, in Elkhart, a son of the late Ora & Berneice (Troyer) Schrock.
At an early age he moved with his family to Burr Oak, where he was a graduate of Burr Oak High School with the class of 1959.
Lloyd met Sharon Oswald in 1958 and the couple were married in April of 1961. Together they had three children, Brenda, Mike and Mark. His battle with serious medical issues in recent years showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile.
Lloyd worked the family farm along with driving truck as an independent distributor for Home Interiors & Gifts until retirement and relocated on Omena Lake near Sturgis. Most recently he and Sharon made their primary residence in sunny Florida.
Lloyd enjoyed annual fishing trips to Canada, coaching and playing softball, golfing with friends and reading. His greatest love was spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife of almost 60 years, Sharon (Oswald), children: Brenda (Greg) Blucker of Sturgis, Mike (Lori) Schrock of Burr Oak and Mark (Debi) Schrock, eight grandchildren: Stefanie (Charlie) Patrick, Hilary (Daniel) Roberts, Mitch (Maddy) Schrock, Jerrod Schrock, Katie (Jon) Homrighausen, Gabe, Kalee & Ethan Schrock; six great-grandchildren; one sister Phyllis (Steve) Hughes of Burr Oak, one brother-in-law Edwin Wickey of Burr Oak, one sister-in-law Donna (Schrock) Casper of LaGrange, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings: Ora & Orene Schrock, Martha Wickey, Bob Schrock; niece Karla (Wickey) Stauffer, and brother-in-law John Hooley.
Lloyd will be honored in a celebration of life service on Wednesday, March 31st at 10am with visitation on Tuesday, March 30 from 4:00 to 7:00pm all held at the Locust Grove Mennonite Church, 29525 Findley Road, Burr Oak, MI. Pastor Bill Beck will officiate. The funeral service will be live streamed on the Locust Grove Mennonite Church Facebook page. A private graveside service will follow at Locust Grove Cemetery.
The Hackman Family Funeral Homes of Sturgis is entrusted with the arrangements.
