Edward Hults, 72

Edward H. Hults, age 72, of Centreville, passed away early Tuesday morning, April 27, 2021 at his home.
He was born February 18, 1949 in New York City, son of the late Frank and Marion (Williams) Hults.
Ed resided in the Sturgis area since 1965 coming from Detroit.
He had been employed by Secure Domes and Mirrors in Sturgis, Coachman Industries in Middlebury, and he had been self-employed in the flooring industry.
Ed was proud to have served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War earning the rank of E-5
He was a graduate of Sturgis High School with the class of 1967, past member of B.P.O. Elks #1314 and Loyal Order of Moose #574. He was a loyal fan of the Detroit Tigers, Red Wings, Lions and the University of Michigan and enjoyed most all sports, playing golf and loved time spent with family.
He is survived by two daughters: Chelsea (Gary) Riley of Sturgis and Melinda (Jason Brindley) Gruber of Elkhart; one son: Matthew (Kristen) Gruber of Crystal Lake, Illinois; four grandchildren: Ember, Olivia, Julia and Andrew; two great grandchildren: Fin and Lydia; two sisters: Jeanine (Larry) Ohlin of Centreville and Marion (Thomas) Picker of Sturgis and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother: John “Jack” Hults.
The family will receive friends from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M. Friday at the Radiant Life Church in Sturgis where funeral services celebrating the life of Edward H. Hults will begin at 11:00 A.M. Friday. Pastor Ryan Bibb will officiate. Full military honors will be conferred by Captain John J. Kelley Post #1355 VFW and the U.S. Army Honor Guards. In accordance with his wishes cremation will follow the service. Private burial of the ashes will take place at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Sturgis at a later date.
The Hackman Family Funeral Homes of Sturgis is entrusted with the arrangements.
