James H. (Jim) Shafer, age 70, of White Pigeon, died on Saturday June 26, 2021 at his home following a short illness.
Born on February 23, 1951 in New Paris,, Indiana the son of Floyd and Gloria (Raver-Clutter) Shafer.
Jim was a White Pigeon area resident most of his life, and aWhite Pigeon High School Graduate in 1971. He was employed as an equipment operator and truck driver, and enjoyed bowling at the Sturgis Bowling Alley.
Married to Orean A Hibbs on August 19, 1985 in Three Rivers. She survives with six children Fred (Kelly) Shafer, Jason (Kari) Shafer, Heather (Troy) Andrews, Shari (Tom) Morris, Tad (Becky) Switzer, Tresa (Steve) Johnson, 16 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren, 7 Brothers and Sisters. Many Nieces and Nephews. Preceded in death by his Parents.
A Celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m. on July 17, 2021 at the Barn, 68864 Lima Rd. White Pigeon. Donations to The American Diabetes Association. Arrangements by the Farrand Funeral Home of White Pigeon.
