Park Township voters Tuesday approved a half-mill proposal for road-related projects.
The four-year millage was supported, 186 to 132, according to township supervisor Ed English.
Township officials said the request is expected to generate more than $72,000 annually through 2024.
English said Marcellus Road, Lang Road and a portion of Hutchinson Road will likely be the first routes to receive attention. Township officials, however, will meet with road commission representatives in November to iron out priorities, English said.
He noted the first round of work will begin next spring.
English said the board did not take a position on the issue, but it felt strongly about letting the public decide whether to commit tax dollars for the impending road work.
Voter turnout was 15 percent.
