Linda Mieras, 83

Linda Mieras, age 83, of Sturgis, passed away Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at her home.
She was born January 29, 1938 in Noble County, Indiana daughter of the late F. Lowell and Lavanga (Weeks) Wolfe.
Linda resided most of her life in Sturgis and was a graduate of Sturgis High School with the class of 1956.
On December 26, 1969 she married Dennis Dale Mieras at the First United Methodist Church, Kimball Chapel in Sturgis.
Linda had been employed in the offices of a manufacturing plant in Sturgis and she and Denny owned several rental properties including a car wash at one time. She was a dedicated wife and homemaker. She enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening and canning and freezing the annual harvest.
Linda was a member of the First Baptist Church in Sturgis and a former member of the Pretty Prairie United Methodist Church in Howe, Indiana.
She is survived by one daughter: Teresa Weitz of Sturgis; one granddaughter: Telesha Rice of Sturgis; two great grandchildren: Kaylee and Sophie; three step-sons: Lonnie Mieras and Michael Mieras both of Sturgis and Douglas Mieras of Fort Wayne; four step-grandchildren and one step-great grandchild; four sisters: Margaret Fillmore of Coldwater, Laura (George) Jackson, Katha (Ryan) Taylor and Dora (David) Payton all of Sturgis; two brothers: Darrell (Baohua Li) Wolfe of White Pigeon and Phillip (Phyllis) Wolfe of Sturgis and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and daughter: Tammie Marie Krontz; son: Rick Krontz; step-daughter: Linda Lou Mieras; step-son: Danny Lee Mieras and brother-in-law: Michael Fillmore.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, Oct. 6th at the Rosenberg Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 807 E. Chicago Rd. in Sturgis. Funeral services celebrating the life of Linda Mieras will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, Oct. 7th at the First Baptist Church in Sturgis. Pastor Matt Taylor will officiate. A graveside committal will follow the service at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Sturgis.
