Alan Grabe, 46

Alan Carl Grabe, age 46, of Sturgis, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at his home.
He was born January 16, 1975 in Sturgis, son of Kenneth Carl and Lula Mae (Trine) Grabe.
Alan resided most of his life in the Sturgis and White Pigeon area and was a graduate of White Pigeon High School with the class of 1994.
He had been employed at the Meijer Distribution Center in Middlebury for over 10 years and also worked at Burr Oak Tool in Sturgis for several years.
Alan loved all kinds of sports. He was a loyal fan of the Michigan Wolverines, Western Michigan Broncos, Detroit Tigers and the Miami Dolphins. He had a true appreciation for most all types of racing including Monster Truck, NASCAR, Indy Car, drag racing and motocross. He and his parents for many years made annual trips to Michigan International Speedway, Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Martin Drag Way to name a few.
He is survived by his parents: Kenneth and Lula Grabe of White Pigeon; special friend: Cheri and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place. A gathering of family and friends to celebrate and honor the life of Alan Carl Grabe will be held from 2:00 to 5:00 P.M. Sunday, April 3rd at the Hackman Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 114 S. Nottawa St. in Sturgis. Private burial of the ashes will take place at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Sturgis at a later date.
The Hackman Family Funeral Homes of Sturgis is entrusted with the arrangements.
