Sturgis police arrested a Three Rivers man wanted on nine active warrants.
According to a department media release, officers responded around 8 p.m. Dec. 21 to the 1000 block of Cato Lane regarding a suspicious vehicle.
Officers discovered the vehicle had been reported stolen from a location in Elkhart a few days earlier.
A 30-year-old man fled from the vehicle and ran into a nearby apartment. After obtaining a search warrant, officers discovered an AK-47-style rifle.
In addition to the warrants, the man was charged with felony firearm, possession of stolen property, and resisting and obstructing law enforcement.
