Centreville Public Schools Board of Education on Monday named Chad Brady interim superintendent.
Brady, 44, will spend the week transitioning from his current role as junior high/high school principal. His term of employment as interim superintendent is Feb. 1 through July 31.
Now in his fourth year as a Centreville employee, Brady said afterward he is fortunate to walk into the position with the district on such solid footing.
With Brady’s impending departure as principal, the district now finds itself with another critical vacancy to fill. There was no discussion Monday about an interim principal.
Regarding the superintendent’s job as a full-time position, Brady declined to divulge his interest. He said he is more interested in keeping his attention on the district and its operations through July.
Brady’s salary for the six-month period will be $62,500.
Current superintendent Stephanie Lemmer begins her new job next week as superintendent of Pennfield Schools.
