Michigan reported far fewer coronavirus cases in the week ending Jan. 30, adding more than 110,000 new cases. That’s down almost 21 percent from the previous week’s tally.
St. Joseph County reported 592 cases and two deaths in the latest week. A week earlier, it had reported 696 cases and seven deaths.
Throughout the pandemic, it has reported 12,916 cases and 181 deaths.
Cases fell in 64 Michigan counties, with the steepest decline in Wayne County.
The highest number of cases per-capita were in Clinton, Dickinson and Chippewa counties.
The biggest increases from the prior week’s pace were in Clinton, Montcalm and Newaygo counties.
