Manoj Gayen, 73

Pastor Manoj Gayen, age 73, of Three Rivers, died unexpectedly at home on Thursday, Jan. 27, 2022. He was born in India on Feb. 11, 1948 the son of Prabodh and Rekha (Halder) Gayen. While living in India he was a school teacher, and later a school principal. He became a Pastor for the Seventh Day Adventist Church and was President of the Upper Ganges Section of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. He was married to Parveena Masih on Oct. 21, 1975 in Hapur, India. They came to the United States in 1997 and resided in Clinton township until moving to Three Rivers in 2018. Manoj loved family functions, cooking, entertaining, and socializing.

Pastor Gayen is survived by a daughter Aparna “Cheryl” Gayen-Kalloo; four siblings, Swapna (Komal) Nowrangi, Maloy (Reena) Gayen, Tushar (Manju) Gayen, and Mridulla (Ezras) Lakra. He was preceded in death by his parents; and by his wife, Parveena on Nov. 25, 2021.

Funeral services will be at 1 p. Saturday, Feb. 5, 2022 at the Eickhoff Funeral Home in Mendon with Dr. Sunith Dass officiating. Cremation will follow services.
