A Sturgis man will serve up to 10 years in prison following a series of crimes he committed over the past year and a half.
Kyle Miller, 34, was sentenced recently by St. Joseph County Circuit Judge Paul Stutesman.
Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Josh Robare added that Miller failed to show up for his scheduled sentencing last September.
In April 2020, police spotted Miller, who had misdemeanor charges pending. When they arrested him, he was illegally in possession of a weapon and ammunition.
In another case, Constantine Police spotted Miller walking along U.S. 131 in June 2020. He was arrested on a warrant for the previous weapon possession and the officer found meth on him.
On July 4, 2020, Miller again fled Constantine Police and was found to be in possession of meth.
Then, on Aug. 8, Miller was arrested in a stolen vehicle and was in possession of a weapon.
