Emma Jean Zeller, 88

Emma Jean Zeller of East Lansing, formerly of Three Rivers, and Eaton Rapids, age 88, passed away on Friday March 18, 2022 in Williamston, MI.

A devout Catholic, Emma Jean was born on Nov 25, 1933 in Mulberry, Kansas the daughter of George Bruno Cordola and Mary Schooley. She graduated from Three Rivers High School in 1951, and after high school she attended Wayne State University and also earned her cosmetology license.

She was married to Gerald Blood and then to Dr. Lawrence Zeller. She is survived by her three children, Laura Blood, Julia (Kevin & Hunter) Lyle, James Blood, five step children Pam (Rich) Drake, Steven (Arthur) Zeller, Tony (Ashley) Zeller, Nadine (Chris) Zeller, Phillip (Angie) Zeller, and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Emma Jean was predeceased by her loving husband Larry in 2016 and her brother Fred Cordola in 2019.

Emma Jean excelled at making people feel beautiful and good about themselves. She started out as a hair designer, then rose to artistic director of Douglas J. Salons. She continued to consult and guide people on hair, makeup, style and just making the world a more beautiful place.

She was an award winning artist in multiple mediums, that included oil painting, sculpture, floral design and water colors. She inspired many people to explore their creative side and become artists themselves. She was a life long student and traveled extensively to enhance her skills in both hair design and art.

A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
