Christopher Michael Schweda, 27, of Greenville, died Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2009.
He was born Aug. 14, 1982, in Sturgis. Christopher loved to volunteer, and received the national “Yes I Can” award for his work. He also enjoyed working with Disability Awareness. More than anything, He deeply loved the Lord.
Christopher was an exceptional human being who will be deeply missed by his parents, Michael and Tami Miller of Greenville; siblings Brian and Kendra Miller of Belding and Tara and Robert Gale of Greenville; very special nieces and nephews, Nicole, Parker and Collin; grandparents, Gary and Fran Penn of Sturgis, George and Jill Miller of Florida, and Evelyn Schweda of Jackson; aunts and uncles, Tom and Traci Ware of White Pigeon, Terry and Karen Penn of Sturgis, Ed and Toni Raglind of Tennessee, and Scott and Cindy Miller of Avon, Ind.; many cousins; and his special teaching assistant and friend, Lorrie Wooster.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Larry Schweda. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hurst Funeral Home, Greenville, with visitation from noon-2 p.m. prior to the service. Pastor Wayne Otto will serve as officiant. Interment will be in Forest Home Cemetery, Greenville. Memorial contributions in Christopher’s honor may be given to the Greenville Public Schools Special Education Department.
