Music will be plentiful during this year’s Three Rivers Water Festival, which starts Thursday.
Right off the bat, nearly 200 members of the West Michigan Homeschool Band will be a part of Thursday evening’s parade, which also features the Three Rivers High School Marching Band.
Next, the Three Rivers German Band will treat festival-goers beginning at noon on Saturday in the Scidmore Park Pavilion. Attendees are encouraged to provide their own chairs.
Returning to the Water Festival this year will be the Kalamazoo Concert Band, which performs at 3 p.m. Saturday in Lafayette Park.
Taking the Memory Isle Main Stage at 8 o’clock Saturday evening will be the Three Rivers Community Schools Jazz Band. It will be followed by Kit and the Tonics at 9:15.
Kit and the Tonics is a three-piece ensemble, featuring tenor guitar, upright bass and drums. Its members will perform for an hour before the annual fireworks display, which is set to begin around 10:20 p.m.
