CTE students recognized for apprenticeships

Several students were recently recognized for being accepted as registered apprentices through the St. Joseph County CTE Consortium.

As a sponsor for Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeships, St. Joseph County CTE is aiming to open new ways for students to earn credentials in a career they plan to enter while partnering with local employers to help grow their own workforce.

Students enrolled in a CTE program have the opportunity to apply for an apprenticeship, which provides classroom instruction and paid, on-the-job learning with a local employer.

New Registered Apprenticeships include: Cody Reese, industrial manufacturing technician at American Axle; Kennedy Cupp, IT help desk at Community Mental Health; Troy Demas, construction craft laborer at JD Yoder Construction; Devin Dague, teacher aide at St. Joseph County ISD; and Gracey Loker, teacher aide at St. Joseph County ISD.
