Jesse Stokes, 59

Jesse Omar Stokes, Jr., age 59, of Three Rivers, passed away early Thursday morning, July 28, 2022 at Rose Arbor Hospice in Kalamazoo.
He was born May 28, 1963 in Three Rivers, son of the late Jesse and Ruth (Wright) Stokes.
Jesse resided in Three Rivers for the past 10 years. His early life was spent in the Nottawa area and he attended Northridge High School in Middlebury.
He had been employed by Syndicate Systems in Middlebury.
For many years he played slow pitch softball. He was a fan of sports and enjoyed fishing, bowling and baseball. Jesse was an avid loyal fan of the Chicago Cubs and the Michigan Wolverines.
He is survived by one daughter: Rachel (Eric) Tribble of Middlebury; one son: Loren (Jamie) Stokes of Sturgis; seven grandchildren: Hailey, Carter, Caiden, Cambrie, Hudson, Caelie and Camden and expecting his eighth grandson: Hunter in September; brother: Scotty Stokes of Nappanee, Indiana; sister: Brenda Garn-Stokes of Three Rivers; half-brothers: Jimmy and Kenny; half-sisters: Linda, Diane and Joni and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date to be announced.
