Lois Ingram, 100

Lois Velma Ingram, age 100, of Sturgis, passed away on Monday, September 12, 2022 at the Life Care Center of LaGrange.

She was born May 30, 1922 in Berry, Alabama daughter of the late W. Thomas and Versie (Brown) Watkins.

Mrs. Ingram resided in Sturgis for the past 52 years coming from Alabama where she lived her early life.

In 1936 she married Rubert Ingram in Berry, Alabama. He preceded her in death in July 22, 1982.

She was a homemaker and had been employed at the Green Briar Motel and as a greeter at Walmart in Sturgis.

Mrs. Ingram was a member of the New Beginnings Church in Sturgis and enjoyed gardening.

She is survived by one daughter: Sanrda (Wendell Long) Karlovsky of Middleburg, Florida; seven grandchildren: Johnny Thacker, Sandra Johnson, Harold (Melissa) Stellner, Frank (Julie) Stellner, Teresa (Ted) Hobart, Bobby (Esther) Ingram and Mike (Tammy) Sanford; 10 great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; brother: Lloyd Ray (Bobbi) Watkins of Alabama; sister: Rebeth Cobb of Alabama and many nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her husband; son: James Robert Ingram; granddaughter: Sherry Edson and several brothers and sisters.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Monday, September 19th at the Rosenberg Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 807 E. Chicago Rd. in Sturgis. A graveside service and burial will take place at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, Sept. 20th at the Oak Lawn Cemetery in Sturgis. Pastor Randy Evans of the New Beginnings Church will officiate.
