Sturgis woman to be sentenced

A 52-year-old Sturgis woman will be sentenced next month on drug-related offenses.

St. Joseph County Prosecutor David Marvin said Stephani Webb was convicted by a jury last week and found guilty of possession of methamphetamine and possession of hydrocodone, a controlled substance.

Marvin said Webb was arrested Aug. 30 in the 200 block of Michigan Avenue in Three Rivers. She was found attempting to hide under blankets in the home of a parolee who was the subject of a compliance check by the Michigan Department of Corrections.

A search by law enforcement resulted in the recovery of multiple methamphetamine pipes and illegal drugs belonging to Webb.

She was found guilty following a one-day trial Tuesday last week before Circuit Court judge Paul Stutesman. Webb will be sentenced Oct. 21.
