Kenneth Harold Brundige, age 94, of Three Rivers, and Zephyrhills, FL passed away on August 31, 2022 in Zephyrhills with his wife at his side. He was born September 11, 1927 in South Bend to parents Harold and Margarete (Genschel) Brundige.
Ken was a US Army veteran who served in the Korean War from 1950-1952 and received two Bronze Service Stars during his time of duty. He met his future spouse Barbara at a roller skating rink in 1952 and they were married on February 14, 1953 in Three Rivers. Ken was a retired semi truck driver for Essex Wire and a farmer. He was passionate about classic cars, tractors, TV Westerns, and gardening. During the summer months you could find him at local farmers’ markets selling his tomatoes and berries. He loved being outdoors and depending on the season you could join him water skiing or sledding.
Ken is survived by his wife Barbara (Nelson) Brundige, three children Kristen (Rodney) Taft, Karen Brundige, Rebecca (Timothy) Mallett all of Kalamazoo, his brother Eugene (Kathy) Brundige of Colon, and four grandchildren Meredith Taft, Andrea Taft, Geoffrey Mallett and Sean Mallett. He was preceded in death by his siblings Barbara Anne, Dale, Donald, Richard, and Arlene.
Cremation has taken place with plans for burial in Three Rivers at a later date.
