Three car crash in Cass County

Cass County Sheriff deputies investigated a three-vehicle injury crash last week in Volinia Township.

Deputies were called shortly before 4:30 p.m. Friday to the intersection of Marcellus Highway and Decatur Road.

Investigators said a work van driven by 55-year-old Mendon resident John Myers was traveling west on Marcellus Highway, where a Chevy Suburban driven by Collin Jones, 18, of Decatur, failed to yield when turning south on Decatur Road from Marcellus Highway. The vehicle Jones was driving collided into Myers’ van.

A Nissan Altima, driven by Paul Rasmussen Dunlop, 27, of South Bend, was stationary at the stop sign on Decatur Road. Myers’ van was pushed into the Altima during the crash.

A passenger in the Suburban, 16-year-old Tayla Ann Marie Lane, of Dowagiac, was transported to Lakeland Niles Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
