Sturgis begins hydrant flushing

The Sturgis Department of Public Services has started flushing hydrants and the process will continue all week.

Department officials wish to remind residents to be aware of potential water discoloration during the process.

The city started the flushing Monday and expects to complete the process Friday.

Should any water discoloration occur, residents should let the water flow for several minutes until it becomes clear. If discoloration persists, DPS can be reached at 651-2879.
