Billy Joe Jensen, Sr., age 72, of Three Rivers, passed away Saturday, October 1, 2022 at Ascension Borgess Hospital.
He was born August 12, 1950 in La Porte, Indiana, the son of Carl and Edith (Stickley) Jensen, and graduated from La Porte High School with the Class of 1968.
Billy served his country in the United States Army. He worked as a Marine Engineer and completed a tour in Korea, where he was awarded the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal. He then went onto later work as a Plant Manager at Knouse Foods/Co-op.
On December 19, 1981 he married Connie Deepe, and spent 40 years together building a life of love and family. The couple enjoyed spending time with family, bowling and fishing.
Billy enjoyed playing golf and deer hunting. He cared deeply for his family and would do anything for them. He will be greatly missed.
Remaining to cherish his memory are his wife, Connie Jensen; sons, Billy Jensen, Jr. and David (Nicole) Jensen; daughter, Heather Jensen; grandchildren, Landyn, Rhilynn, Harper, Dalton, Skyler, Jackie, Allison, Morgan, Natalie, and Asa; sister, Barb Phoelman; half-brothers, Carl “John” Jensen and Jim Geller.
Visitation will be held Monday, October 17, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Hohner Funeral Home, 1004 Arnold St., Three Rivers. A memorial service will follow at noon at the funeral home.
Donations in Billy’s memory may be directed to the American Heart Association. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
