Pearl Sue White, age 74, of Sturgis, passed away Monday evening, November 7, 2022 at Ascension Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo.
She was born November 2, 1948 in Sturgis, daughter of the late Alfred and Catherine (Swartz) Pagels.
Pearl was a lifelong Sturgis resident and graduate of Sturgis High School with the class of 1966.
Pearl retired from Thurston Woods Village in Sturgis following 36 years of dedicated employment.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Sturgis.
Pearl was an avid reader, especially stories about animals and enjoyed word search puzzles, watching game shows and the Gaithers.
She is survived by her daughter: Tonya (Robert) Adams of Sturgis; sons: Chris (Jon Metzger) White of Peru, Indiana and Kerry White of Sturgis; grandchildren: Adam White, Zechariah (Lexi) Adams, Karra (Eric) Boggs, Jake (Angel) Lafler, Cheyanne Adams, Christopher (Britany) White, Aaron (Cat) White, Jessica (Sam) Kinsey, Heather Lucky, Carrie Lucky; great grandchildren: Harlem, Elijah, Skylar, Camila, Abigal, Sam, Katie, Elizabeth, Grace, Christopher, Brayden, Gavyn, Aaliyah and Kaleb; sister: Judy (Jerry) Metzger of Sturgis and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son: Keith Allen White, brother: Virgil Pagels and infant sister: Katherine Pagels.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 5:00 Sunday, Nov. 13th, at the Hackman Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 114 S. Nottawa St. in Sturgis. Funeral services celebrating the life of Pearl White will be held at 11:00 Monday, Nov. 14th at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sturgis. The Rev. Calvin Kolzow will officiate. A graveside committal will follow the service at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Sturgis.
