Randy “Rambo” Tomlinson, 69

Randy A. “Rambo” Tomlinson, age 69, of Sturgis, passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at the Sturgis Hospital Emergency Room.

He was born October 16, 1953 in Muncie, Indiana, son of the late Albert and Rosella (Hart) Tomlinson.

Rambo was a longtime Sturgis resident coming from the Muncie area.

He retired from Morgan Olson in Sturgis following over 40 years of dedicated employment.

He held memberships in Captain John J. Kelley Post #1355 VFW, Neuman-Wenzel Post #73 American Legion, Eagles Lodge #1314 and Loyal Order of Moose #574. Rambo enjoyed bowling, throwing darts, playing Euchre, was an avid fan of NASCAR and loved singing Karaoke.

He is survived by his daughter: Tracy (Richard) Zechman of Burr Oak; son: Stacy (Crystal) Tomlinson of Centreville; grandchildren: Dillon, Logan and Genevive; sister: Phyllis Jean Hansard; his life partner of seven years: Deb Dunlap and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother: Kenny Tomlinson and sisters: Marilyn Knotts and Mildred Bess.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 8:00 on Tuesday, November 15th at the Hackman Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 114 S. Nottawa St. in Sturgis. In accordance with family wishes cremation will follow the visitation.

The family suggests those wishing to make a memorial donation in Randy’s memory consider American Legion Post #73, 500 W. Chicago Rd., Sturgis, MI 49091.
