Three people were injured in a two-car crash last week in Burr Oak Township.
Sheriff Mark Lillywhite said deputies were called shortly after 3 p.m. Friday to the intersection of Kelly and Carpenterson roads in response to a personal-injury crash.
Investigators said an 18-year-old female and her 18-year-old passenger, both of Sturgis, were northbound on Carpenterson Road, where the driver ran a stop sign and her vehicle struck an eastbound pickup driven by a 70-year-old man from Bur Oak Township.
Authorities said the pickup came to rest in a pond, but the driver was able to safely vacate his vehicle.
The 18-year-old driver and her passenger were airlifted to Bronson Hospital; the driver of the pickup was taken by ambulance to Bronson Hospital.
