Sharon Marie Snowden, age 80, of Howe, Indiana passed away Friday evening, December 9, 2022 at her home.
She was born March 21, 1942 in Sturgis, daughter of the late Ervin and Elizabeth “Betty” (Harrison) Schrock.
Sharon resided in Howe since 1995, coming from Sturgis.
On October 31, 1981 she married Robert Snowden in Sturgis. He preceded her in death in 1988.
Sharon was employed as a greeter at Meijer in Sturgis and worked several years at the Kirsch Company in Sturgis until the company closed.
She attended the Community Bible Church in Sturgis and had a true love for animals, especially her horses.
Sharon is survived by her son: Darren (Lisa) Gottschalk of Sturgis; granddaughters: Skylar Nicole Gottschalk and Laci Ann Gottschalk; son-in-law: Mike Miller of Howe; step-children: Mike (Tammy) Snowden of Coldwater, Steve (Deb) Snowden of Kenton, Ohio, Jim Snowden of Casselberry, Florida, Dee (Rob) Kesterke of Benton Harbor; several step-grandchildren; sisters: Marcia (Paul) Shepherd of Warsaw, Indiana, Victoria (Jim) Mumby of Mendon, and Regina (Eric) Perry of Kolona, Iowa; brothers: Rick Schrock of Howe, Indiana and Rich Schrock of Loveland, Colorado and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter: Kelly Jean Gottschalk and son: Darrly Gottschalk, Jr.
In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service celebrating the life of Sharon Snowden will be held at 10:00 on Monday, Dec. 19th at the Community Bible Church, 223 N. Maple St. in Sturgis. Pastor Steve Wisler will officiate. A graveside committal will follow the service at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Sturgis.
