Minor injuries in US-131 crash

Michigan State Police troopers are investigating a two-vehicle crash that occurred last week in the White Pigeon area.

Law-enforcement officials responded Friday afternoon to U.S. 131 and Dickinson Road. Authorities said the driver of the semi, a 52-year-old man from Jackson County, was traveling north on U.S. 131 when he lost control of his vehicle. It crossed the centerline and struck an oncoming car driven by a 63-year-old Constantine man.

Both drivers sustained minor injuries, troopers said, adding the cause of the crash was blamed on driver error.

The driver of the semi was issued a citation for traveling too fast for road conditions, authorities said.
