November unemployment report

November’s unemployment rate in St. Joseph County decreased by three-tenths of a percent from October.

Figures from the monthly labor-market analysis by the Michigan Department of Technology, Management and Budget show St. Joseph County’s unemployment rate fell from 4.3 percent in October to 4 percent in November.

St. Joseph County’s November 2021 unemployment rate was 3.4 percent.

In addition, Cass County also experienced a drop in its unemployment figures from October to November. Its October rate was 3.9 percent and lowered to 3.8 percent a month later.

Meanwhile, Branch County’s one-month unemployment rate fell in November from the previous month. It was 4 percent in October and dropped to 3.7 percent in November.

Michigan’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for November was 4.3 percent, up from 4.2 percent in October.
