Gary Krontz, 67

Gary Dean “Bird Eggs” Krontz, age 67, of Coldwater, and former resident of Burr Oak, passed away Wednesday afternoon, January 18, 2023 at the Laurels of Coldwater.

He was born October 20, 1955 in Sturgis, son of the late Harold Dean “Pat” and Laura Lee (Leatherbery) Krontz, Jr.

Bird Eggs resided in Burr Oak most of his life.

He was a talented welder by trade and had been employed by Continental Accessories in Sturgis.

Gary enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing and loved playing his guitar.

He is survived by his sisters: Joan Lung and LouAnn (Steve) Johnson both of Burr Oak; brother: Daniel Krontz of Burr Oak; niece and nephews: Krysten Johnson of Oshtemo, Jamie Lung of Colon, Scott (Kim) Krontz of Bronson and Staff Sergeant Nathan (Amanda) Johnson of Sturgis.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law: Jack Lung; nephew: Todd Lung and great nephew: Michael Lung.

In accordance with family wishes cremation has taken place. No services are planned at this time. Private burial of the remains will take place at the Burr Oak Cemetery in Burr Oak.
