Earl Cook, 77

Earl Wayne Cook, age 77, formerly of White Pigeon, died Sunday, Nov. 8, 2009 at Fairview Living Center where he had resided the past 2 years. He was born in Chicago, Il on Nov. 19, 1931 the son of Samuel and Harriet (Smith) Cook and attended schools in Chicago. Wayne served in the U.S. Army before moving to Saint Joseph County. Here he met and married B. June Beebe on Oct. 4, 1966 in Mendon. Wayne had been employed at the Sturgis Foundry, Essex Wire in Three Rivers, and Birkholder Pattern in Centreville.

Wayne is survived by 2 daughters, Laverne Pisco (Joseph) of Three Rivers, and Marie Ferguson of Sturgis; 4 grandchildren, Justin Davis, Lucas Davis, Darlene Newton, and Betty Benjamin; 4 great-grandchildren, Carter Davis, Casey Newton, Stephanie Chartrand, and Kevin Lytle. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, June in November of 2000; and a sister, Laverne Ribarchek.

Cremation has been conducted. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009 at the Light and Life Wesleyan Church, 15765 Hoffman Rd., Three Rivers with Rev. Brian Lutz, Chaplain of Heartland Hospice officiating. Memorials may be directed to the family. Arrangements were by the Eickhoff, Farrand, Halverson Chapel of Three Rivers.
