Barbara R. Sobeski, age 75, of Burr Oak, passed away Friday, Feb. 24, 2023 at Rose Arbor Centricare Hospice Facility in Kalamazoo.
She was born June 6, 1947 in Stambaugh, MI a daughter to the late Herb and Jean (Fager) Case.
Barbara was a resident of Burr Oak most of her life and graduated from Burr Oak High School with the class of 1965.
On Jun 11, 1967 she married Jim Sobeski. He preceded her in death in 2000.
Barbara enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and watching them play football.
Surviving are 2 daughters: Casey (Steve) Altimus of Sturgis and Tricia Sobeski of Burr Oak; 2 grandchildren: Parker Altimus of Sturgis and Maxwell Altimus currently serving in the U.S. Navy.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial donations in her memory be directed to the Sturgis Gridiron Club, c/o: Hackman Family Funeral Homes, P.O. Box 9, Sturgis, MI 49091, who has been entrusted with the arrangements.
