Robert Duane Elliott, age 69, of Three Rivers, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born September 9, 1953 in Hartford City, Ind., the son of Fred and Evelyn (Green) Elliott.
After graduating from high school in 1971, Bob enlisted in the US Navy where he was an E5, Machinist Mate 2nd Class. He served from 1971 to 1975. . . two years on a sub, and two years on a surface craft.
He loved to fish, hunt, and play cards.
Bob was preceded in death by his mother; father; brother, Dick; grandparents; brother-in-law, Orin Bingaman; nephew, Orin Bingaman III; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Survivors include his sister, Rebecca; nephew, Fred Bingaman; niece, Laura (Jay) Levandoski; great-nephew, Jacob Levandoski; great-niece, Madilyn Levandoski; aunt, Exie Green; and his famous Hiram. You know who you are!
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 23, 2023 at 11:00 at Hohner Funeral Home, 1004 Arnold St., Three Rivers. A funeral service will follow at noon at the funeral home with Howard Green officiating. He will be laid to rest in Vicksburg Cemetery.
Donations in Bob’s memory may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
