Constantine street signs to be replaced

Green street signs in Constantine will soon be replaced by signs reflecting the school district’s red and white color scheme.

Village council members agreed to the measure March 20.

The process will be slow, however, as village manager Mark Honeysett said the old signs will be replaced as circumstances warrant and it could be as many as three years before all village street signs reflect school colors.

The request to change the sign colors was made by second-grade students Andrew Johnson, Emmett Osborne and Dominic Smith at the behest of their teachers, Dan Sorenson and Devon Moyer.
