Terry J. Davenport, age 65, of Centreville, passed away Friday, April 7, 2023 surrounded by his loved ones at his home following a lengthy illness. He was born March 26, 1958 in Sturgis, a son of James and Margaret (Watkins) Davenport. Terry graduated from Centreville High School in 1976. On April 14, 1981, Terry married Rhonda Miller in Centreville. He worked at American Axle in Three Rivers as a job setter and machine operator for 15 years until his retirement in 2008. He also worked 10 seasons at Crop Mate fertilizer in Nottawa, for St. Joseph County Animal Control from 1981 – 1988, and drove trucks from 1989 – 1994 for Jerry Harris and Harold Mann – Trio Trucking. Terry greatly enjoyed camping and boating.
Surviving Terry are his wife Rhonda Davenport, Centreville; their children Tim (Amanda) Davenport, Crawfordville, FL; Jason Davenport, Marcellus; and Eric (Angie) Davenport, Centreville; grandchildren MaKenna, Peyton, MaKinzie, Miraya, Gavin, Jayden and Adelyn; and sister Sue Ellen Stevenson of Mendon. Also surviving are aunts, an uncle, and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.
