Allan Brown, 78

Allan Robert Brown, age 78, of Three Rivers, entered the presence of the Lord on Easter Sunday, April 9, 2023.

He was born August 3, 1944 in Avon, Mass., the son of Warren and Donna (Wood) Brown.

Allan spent many years as a retail manager and a sales manager in the automotive field, but most recently spent eight years working at Pine View Golf Club in Three Rivers.

While working at Zayre on the east coast, he flew to a training in Elyria, Ohio where he found love at first sight with fellow trainee Barbara Grimm, an employee of Zayre in Kalamazoo. They married on June 25, 1970, and have been friends, buddies, and lovers ever since.

Allan loved golfing at Pine View and playing pool with the guys at the Eagles. He was loyal, loving, kind, and gentle.

Remaining to cherish his memory are his wife, Barbara Brown; daughters, Gretchen Baron of Maine and Shelley Vacca of Three Rivers; grandchildren, Leann, Eric, Alex, and Becky; great-grandchildren, Brittany, Natalie, Ripley, Hope, and Eli.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

In accordance with family wishes, cremation will be conducted; a memorial service will be held at a later date.
