“Sturgis – Make It Home” is a free ministry offered by Radiant Life Church and offers free distributions of household items monthly.
Items are distributed noon to 2 p.m. the first Friday of the month or by appointment. A referral is required and can be obtained from any church or local organization, such as Hope United, United Way and Salvation Army.
It serves clients who are establishing a new home and are in need of basics after a life-changing event, such as fire, homelessness, or divorce, for example.
Donations, meanwhile, are accepted 10 a.m. to noon Saturdays. Volunteers ask that items are clean, gently used, and smoke- and stain-free.
Its location is 307 W. Chicago Road, next to TC Appliance.
