Michigan Department of Transportation has announced two road-construction projects will start next week in Cass and Van Buren counties.
Agency officials said a section of M-40 in Cass County and a portion of M-152 in Van Buren County will be subject to crack-filling and resurfacing beginning Monday and continuing through July 28.
Specifically, the M-40 portion will take place from M-60 north to the village of Marcellus.
Meanwhile, the same type of work will occur on M-152 from the Berrien/Van Buren county line to M-51 in Cass County’s Silver Lake Township.
Combined, the projects are expected to cost $1.7 million, MDOT officials said.
Motorists should expect lane closures and traffic regulators.
