Nursing grant will help GOCC alumni continue education

Glen Oaks Board of Trustees last month learned about plans that are underway as part of a $2 million state grant to help grow nursing talent in the region.

Glen Oaks officials met recently with representatives from Baker College and are working on an agreement wherein Glen Oaks nursing alumni will have the opportunity achieve their bachelor of nursing degree in a program funded through the grant.

The program is developed with plans to start classes this coming fall semester. Prospective ADN to BSN students should contact Sara Birch, at 294-4287 for more information.
