The Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency is working in conjunction with the city of Three Rivers and state agencies to support the “Action Level Exceedance” notification.
Health officer Rebecca Burns said in collaboration with the Department of Public Services, the agency will be a distribution point for residents who are on the city’s water system. Filter distribution will begin at 8 a.m. Tuesday at 1110 Hill Street. The city of Three Rivers will also begin distribution at 8 a.m. Tuesday.
To be eligible for a filter, potential recipients must have a child living in or frequently visiting the home; must have a pregnant person living in the home; or must be a resident of the city, on the city’s water system and attest to the inability to afford to purchase a filter at a store.
What kind of filter for what kind of contamination?
Just one thing after another. When will people hold their “leaders” responsible? Some of the highest water/sewer rates in west Michigan and you still need filters. Sad.
