Phyllis Kay Shultz, age 65, of White Pigeon, passed away at her home on Thursday, August 3, 2023 following a long illness. Phyllis was born on March 8, 1958 in Tampa, FL, a daughter of Elvia and Mary (Holton) Wyatt, Sr. On May 3, 1978, she married Chris A. Shultz in Kalamazoo.
Phyllis attended Loy Norrix and Kalamazoo Public Schools where she obtained her GED. She later earned a certificate in Machine & Tool from KVCC. Phyllis worked as a machinist for Azon Systems from 1983 to 1992.
Phyllis was a long time member of Faith Finders Church in Constantine. She enjoyed babysitting and also opened her home to many foster children.
Surviving Phyllis are her children Shaun Shultz, Nicholas Shultz, David Shultz, Michelle Shultz, Caleb Shultz, and Robert Burke; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and her siblings Barbara (Kevin) Bickel, David (Tammy) Wyatt, Delora (Mike) Longfield, and Elvia (Mary) Wyatt, Jr.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Mary Ellen Shultz, granddaughter Maleeyah Wyrick, and sister Mary Lou Ellen Wyatt.
Relatives and friends will be received Friday, August 11 from 12 to 1:30 pm at Faith Finders Church, 229 W. 2nd St., Constantine, where services will follow at 1:30 pm. Pastor Rita Austin will officiate. Burial will be in the Constantine Township Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Faith Finders Church Chair Fund.
