Sheriff’s deputies were involved in a pursuit last weekend that originated in Centreville.
Undersheriff Jason Bingaman said deputies responded to the 300 block of West Main Street at 2:30 a.m. Saturday in response to a fight involving a number of individuals.
Investigators said several subjects ran to a vehicle, which fled the scene when deputies arrived.
Deputies, with assistance from Three Rivers Police Department, pursued the vehicle. Stop sticks were deployed on the suspect vehicle as it entered Three Rivers. Bingaman said the vehicle narrowly missed striking the American Legion building and stopped after crashing into a brick monument.
This vehicle was occupied by five individuals. Authorities said the driver fled on foot from the scene, prompting the aid of Michigan State Police K-9 team. The suspect was not located but has been identified.
Deputies will be requesting charges related to this incident, authorities said.
